GPL: Axis 7 in Controllers Set Up Going Crazy

by Ritchie, Kelvi » Sat, 15 Apr 2000 04:00:00

Whenever I have to calibrate my LWFF wheel in GPL I notice that the axis
7 pointer is moving erratically like it's receiving input from
somewhere. All the other axis are motionless unless I move the steering
wheel or pedals. It doesn't seem to be causing a problem running the
game except when I try to assign settings for the steering wheel then
axis 7 gets automatically selected unless I'm very fast to select the
desired button.

I guess I really don't understand all this "axis" stuff for PC
controllers. Why are there 7 of them in the controllers calibration.

The LWFF is connected via USB. I do have a Logitech Wingman Interceptor
on the Turtle Beach sound card game port.

This is on a Dell RS450.

Thanks.

GPL calibration reports all axis it finds on your system so it is finding
your LWFF and your Wingman Interceptor. You can use an axis from your
Interceptor for say the clutch if you wanted.
