GP2 bugs

I've had a few program crashes, sometimes claiming an error accessing
the HD, after which I have to reboot. Initially the setup program did
not copy correctly one file to the Spa-directory.

Another thing is that Univbe 5.2 does seem to help a bit at least with
Stealth 64 Trio DRAM card. To my opinion the graphics engine seems
somehow unoptimized compared to ICR II. Am I wrong or isn't the first
real SVGA resolution 800x600? GP2 uses 640x480...

The first "SVGA" resolution was 640x480x256 as the VGA spec went only
up to 640x480x16.

GP2 bugs

by Kevin E. Hi » Tue, 30 Jul 1996 04:00:00

I have discovered a neat little bug.

I was racing yesterday an Monza and got up to go to dinner.
I was in the pits, practicing by myself.  I was not parked in my
stall, but kinda 1/2 way down the lane.

This was in practice mode - so no other cars were on the track, so I
just hit the brakes, and stopped.

When I came back 1/2 - 1 hour later, the screen was partially full of
errors, something like, hotlap write failed...

anyway, not something you would normally run into - but interesting.

BTW
P100
Matrox 2Meg Millinium
32 Meg, 16 EDO, 16 Not EDO
Tons of Hard drive space.

I think you may avoid this by pressing space and pausing before going to
dinner :)
Yesterday I was halfway through a 100% distance race, and I had to leave
for a couple of hours. All was fine upon my return...
