NT 4.0 & GP2, ICR2

by cm » Sun, 02 Mar 1997 04:00:00

I am currently using Win95 OSR2 and am contemplating moving to NT 4.0. I
remember many people mentioning trying to play ICR2 and GP2 under this o/s,
but don't recall the results. Anyone running NT 4.0 and these two games,
please tell me if there is any particular thing I need to know, if they
don't work as well as they do now, then I don't want to change. I finally
have GLQuake with my Diamond Monster and Matrox, and that will work in NT
4.0 but I'm not sure about the racing sims. Can't live without those. My
system is:

P5-200mhz
96mb EDO Ram
2.1 gig SCSI Seagate Barracuda
2.1 gig SCSI Seagate Hawk
Matrox Millenium 2mb
Diamond Monster 4mb
Sound Blaster 16
T2 Wheel and pedals

(Nice system for playing games, eh?)

Thanks in advance,
Craig Marcho

got NT4.0 on my pro 200 and the only thing i can get to work in nt is
winquake, not tried glquake cos i dont have a 3dfx card and i know it'll
be slooow! but my machine is set up with dos and nt. dos 6.22 was
insatalled first then nt into a driectory in dos - this gives a menu on
boot as to which os you want to run. best option is to have dos and nt
in separate partitions, thus allowing ntfs with 2k cluser sizes, not 32
which is what i've got! i think i'll re-install this summer though! So
dos works as dos and alls fine with the games!
