I just read that NT 4.0 supports DirectDraw, DirectSound, and DirectPlay. I
know that Ed Martin said that N wasn't an officially supported OS for ICR2,
but has anyone tried this combo?

On a related note, two interesting things happened during the install: ICR2 noticed I did not
have DirectX, and tried to install it, and when it tried to test the speed of my CD-ROM, it got a
divide by zero error (I think) and really hosed my system (I had to reboot, which I don't have
to do much with NT).
I suppose I could whine about how now Sierra "owes" us an NT patch, since *I* am using *NT* and
*I* want to run *ICR2* and *I* am *THE CUSTOMER* and if they don't give me a patch then the whole
world needs to know that *I* *THE CUSTOMER* *AM GETTING SCREWED*!!! But then I would be like
most of the whiners in this newsgroup. I think I'll just play at home on my officially supported
platform and have fun with it. It's a great sim. :)
Without yellows, if your one of the suckers that have ver. 1.0

[snip]
I'm suprised all the Amiga users haven't been up in arms that F1GP2 isn't
coming out on their platform. Why aren't they, as CUSTOMERS who bought
the previous game, demanding an upgrade? I mean, if someone wants it and
wants it NOW DAMMIT, they deserve it, right?
Pick one or more: Model Rockets (competition-NERCB) / PCs (even Atari!) /
Papyrus ICR-ICR2-NCR / Who needs a life when you have multiple non-lives?
Why not install DOS and NT on the machine, wouldn't that be easier?
Certainly quicker than waiting for an NT version.
The Sim Racing News site runs on an NT based server, but we also have
MS-DOS 6.22 and Win95 installed on the same machine - NT allows you to
pick whichever you want at boot up time. As far as I recall it was quite
easy to install it with those options.
Cheers!
John
