N2 and Steering Wheel

I am using WIN95 OSR2 and the Thrustmaster Nascar Pro wheel but I cannot
get N2 to calibrate (the arrows do not move at all). I have reinstalled
N2, ran the 1.03 patch and the 3dfx patch and no wheel. It calibrates
perfectly in W95. I have tried calibrating as the Nascar Pro wheel and as
Custom (2 axis-2 button race car wheel).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
dkmedic

PS  Just picked up Burnout and I guess I will load it while I wait for a
N2 solution.

So far it looks like you have done the right things (especially the 1.03
patch).  You might want to try getting Thrustmaster's Propanel applet
and try using it to setup your controller device in Win95 (must be
device ID #1).
ftp://208.129.210.78/pub/library/calibration/propanelv11.exe

Also make sure that your gameport is set to I/O 201-201 (via control
panel -> System -> Device Manager).

Thrustmaster has a good setup instruction for N2 and the Pro Wheel on
their web site:
http://www.thrustmaster.com/support/wheel_docs/Cal-Setups/NascarIIsetup

Try following the steps there (especially the one where you set the
Steering to Wheel before you attempt to calibrate.

You might need to delete the following files from your NASCAR2
directory:

controls.cfg
calib.val

If the above still fails to fix the problem, try setting up your
controls as keyboard (select all options).  Then go back and try to
calibrate your wheel & pedals following the FAQ at Thrustmater's web
site.  Also if you haven't done so, check out Sierra's FAQ for N2:
http://www.sierra.com/support/technical/faqs/Nas2ts.html

You can first try running the windows drivers that come with the nascar pro
wheel. It helped me out at first.

P.S. Just woundering where I can get windows 95 osr2?

Run your Nascar2 from DOS.

N2 and Steering Wheel

I use a Thrustmaster GP1. After installing the patch I can calibrate
the wheel when running the 3dfx version but not when running the
original version. I must admit I don't remember if it worked in the
old version before as it is ages since I ran it.

Run the joystick icon from the W95 controll panel, make sure your
wheel is there and shows OK. Then make sure you ar running the 3dfx
version.

good luck
Graham
