I have the game called 'Stunts' (published by Broderbund - I must have
bought it 6 or 7+ years ago for my first 286-8Mhz PC) which sounds
very similar, and in fact just recently just reloaded it again on my
486-120 Mach64 based system. (never did have a version for my Amiga
1000,  though.) It really flies now on the faster hardware - it was
always as power hungry as NASCAR is today - you could never seem to
feed it enough processor speed. It still is one of my favorites of all
time, because of the excellent engine sounds (high revving and
different for each car), great car selections,  getting airborne over
bumps at higher speeds, and the design-your-own-track feature (not to
mention the cool stunts). Actually, I'm not sure I could part with it
(not just because it is a classic, but because it still runs so good
on my current machine), but I have seen it over the years in the
bargain bins and at the software liquidators booths at computer swaps.
In fact, I still play the arcade version when ever I see it, called
'Hard Drivin' ' still almost as good as some of the newer ones, in my
opinion. If you end up not being able to find it anywhere or from
anyone else, (if this is like the program your interested in) let me
know and maybe I can help.

If you mean Sir Geoffrey's classic "Stunt Car Racer" (and it sounds like
you do), then save your money.  The PC conversion is appallingly bad
(it was done by someone else, not G.C.).  Even though I only paid 5 pounds
for it, it was still a rip-off - completely unplayable.

Yeah, I only ever played the PC version and couldn't quite see what
all the fuss was about. While I'm sure that the Amiga / Atari
versions were great games, don't bother with the PC version.
