Go into control panel, and double click on Multimedia. This should bring up
the multimedia properties for your SbLive card. Notice the top half is for
playback, and bottom half is for recording. Click on the advanced properties
tab for playback. Then click on the performance tab. Here you can reduce the
hardware acceleration. I reduced mine 1 notch and it seemed to help. I may
have lost some effects by doing this, perhaps the number of sounds, I
haven't really been able to run GPL much lately to see, but the static
certainly seemed better.
Give it a try, I'd be interested in your results, I know you run GPL more
than I do.
