Nascar heat cd backup

Yes I bought the game, and I like it very much.
But as with all Me "good" CD's I try to back them up (I have  2 and 4 year olds)

I have visited Gamecopyworld, but as usuall I leave there more confused than ever.
I have tried to back up the CD using CDclone, and Blind write.

both finish the burn, but the New CD is unreadable (not reconized in the drive)
tried it 3 times with both CDr and CDrw.

has anyone made a workable backup ? how was it done,
manythanks,

Nick

  there is a no-cd patch, I think at bh.motorsports...NH is a little
goofy...so you need to swap out several files to get the no-cd to work.  And
there is a folder called data that must be name-changed to run
If you find the no-cd patch and can't make sense of it...email me and I'll
try and talk you through it...

My "copy" worked fine. I, too, own the game legally and would rather protect
my original. Just used EZ CD Creator (IIRC). Nothing special...
