NASCAR Revolution Demo trouble

 I have the following system: PII 300, 64SDRAM, 32x CD-ROM, AWE64 sound,
Diamond Viper v300 AGP

Shouldn't I be able to play this demo?!  When I ran the demo, the text on the
menus looked like Chinese writing!  Some, but not all, of the graphics looked
like they were suffering also.

I see that the requirments call for a 3d accelerator card.  The Viper v330 IS a
3d accelerator in itself.
