DEMO for F1 2000? System Requirements?

Does anyone know if there's a Demo out there for F1 2000.  I'd like to give
it a shot before I put shell out my cash just to make sure it runs OK on my
machine.  (Celeron 466, 64MB ram, Voodoo 3).   Anyone with similar specs
that could tell me how it works for them?
No

I just bought it today. On my P3 500, 128mb ram, Voodoo3 it runs quite
well if I turn down lots of options. This game is very configurable
and should run on your machine so long as you are willing to make
sacrifices in the eye-candy department. It runs great on the test
track even with 12 cars on the track, but as soon as you enter a real
race with a full field it slows right down big time. So had to do the
folowing; I'm running it at 640x480 with low detail cars, high detail
***pit, no grand stands, no smoke , no dust, mirrors with no extra
stuff showing,  no envornment mapping, no spectral lighting, medium
quality textures, medium sound quality, no sky detail, and a few other
things that I can't remember right now. Runs very well at those
settings, but doesn't look much better than ICR2. :-)

P.S. I'm a real stickler when it comes to frame rate so you may be
happy with not as much turned off. Buy it at EB so you can return it
if it's not acceptable.

I have the same except 128MB.  It runs pretty good except during the
start of the race.  I don't usually race though because it's just a
game (i'd rather play GPL)

I can run at maxed out res and 800x600 or 1024 for solo hot-lapping and keep
framerates above 30 (I think).  Maybe a big enough hit with the mirrors on to
be lower.  Smooth enough.

The big hitters are mirrors, number of vehicles drawn, and then (I believe)
the combo of high detail + textures on the vehicles.  So, the start of a race
can sometimes be horrific (~10 fps, sometimes even below) if there are a lot
of cars around.  I don't like to limit the # of drawn vehicles too low as I
don't want to be surprised.  But the tradeoff then is to race without mirrors,
which is probably worse for situational awareness.  Combined with bad AI, it
makes races mostly an exercise in frustration.  Though I did just complete an
enjoyable 13 lap Nurburgring race starting from near the front, getting bumped
off the track (happens *very* often), then passing most of the competition
(100% AI).

Basically, I enjoy the sim (graphics, vehicle model, hotlapping), but it has
some serious drawbacks.
