Here is ablurb from an industry publication website(Game Daily) that has
a small preview of the Hasbro 2000 lineup.  Included was this mention of
Nascar Heat.
--------
Hasbros dedication to the sports category will begin with a new NASCAR
game (a coveted license that Hasbro picked up last year). Tentatively
titled NASCAR Heat, Dusenberry described the game as an arcade-style
racing game that puts you right in the drivers seat of a NASCAR
vehicle.

Well, I tell ya: those shots are AWESOME!  The***pit looks like it'd
feel MUCH better than N3 (HERESY!), and the crowds in the stands are MUCH
better (tho' it's agreed that a driver doesn't get to spend much time
looking at the crowd!).  Just gotta wonder _how_ "arcade" they make it...
I'll certainly look at a demo.

I got a look at the screenshots today.  Thanks for the URL Ed.  The
viewpoint seems lower....or something....a slightly different
perspective than the papy sims.  And the scale of the tracks seems
larger.  Just my first take, but if looks count...you guys are
definately on the right tracks...Even had real Fords and Chevys...

Thanks for the update. Screenshots look good, some look alot like Daytona.
Gauges are a little blocked out. I wonder if it matters?
