Is Johnny Herbert's F1 racing any good?

by Richard McConnel » Mon, 04 Jan 1999 04:00:00

Not sure on the title, but happened to catch some F1 game endorsed by Johnny
Herbert - the screenshots looked pretty good but the low price got me
thinking there's something pitifully wrong with the game.  Any comments on
this particular title?  And does anyone have any recs on what the 'best' F1
racing sim is out on the market at the moment (me being a big GP2 fan)?

TIA,

RM

IMHO that GP2 is still the best 'winged/moderm' race sim, but, BUT.... if you
want a real challenge..... there is only one choice.... GPL

Well if you like GP2 you'll hate this game because it's just an arcade game. It
was made by the same company that made Castrol Honda Superbike.  Personally I
would say F1RS is the best F1 game out right know because I have yet to try
Monaco Grand Prix.

Pure arcade this and not even a very good arcade.
I bought it and have played it once for 2 hours and pretty much exhausted its
possibilities,

No - every word would be to much :-/
Stinkin' arcade shit...

Well, the best F1-sim ("although" historical) is GPL, no doubt. If you
don't know it by now - get it...if you just want to have F1 from today,
get F1RS or RS2.

Also, man mailt sich...
