Is F1RS2 the same as Monaco2?  Is it available in the US?  The web page said
Oct 1998 for Europe and Feb 99 for US.

I got the full version. The graphics look  good.... kind of like a more
color-correct version of F1RS though the cars have "refletion mapping" and
hence they look mure metalic (sometimes they look like they're made of
porcelain though :-). The menus are great, the AI is pretty good as well. The
sound is pretty good too. The framerate is priobably in low 20s with
everything on on my PII 300 +64Mb Ram + Voodoo1... you can get about 30fps by
switching the "reflecion mapping" off and maybe a few other bits. Now the
important part... the driving model. Well, let's put it this way, it
definaletty is not a sim in a league of F1RS, GP2, ICR2 or Narcar. On the
other hand it is more realistic than Andretti-Racing or F1'97. The car handles
resonably well when not driving on the limit... anything above that is a
joke... totally unrealistic/canned slides and spins. Also, the endine desn't
seem to rev out too well.

In conclusion, if you want a "real" sim then get GPL. If you want F1 sim then
get F1RS (F1RS2 is out and is an improvement) or GP2. If you want a sim
with a bit of everything and be sure that it'll run well on your system then
get ICR2. If you want something between sim  and arcade then this is not a bad
game.... personally I'd rather get Viper Raving 'cos you get both arcade as
well as sim in one package and it sure looks great with a 3dfx card:-)

Yep, it's the same thing.  And Ubisoft is once again screwing over US
gamers by delaying its release here for several months (like they did
with F1RS).  Do what I did when F1RS came out, buy an import copy from
InterAct CD - their prices are very good and their service is excellent!
