Can anyone help me get sound on NASCAR? I have 1.2 and i
have done auto sound setup, but no deal. Except i get
music in the very beggining and at the end during the credits
scrolling. I have a soundblaster 16, 486-66dx2 4 meg ram double
speed cd-rom. i did however do the hard drive installation. will
that make a difference? also, now that i have Patch 1.2 i lost all
the car details, why?
Thank you

I too have problems running NASCAR. The common theme I see amoung those
of us having problems is the use of the SB 16 sound card. Could it be these
drivers are not working with NASCAR? Someone e-mailed me that they had
something similar happen to them with Dark Forces. They solved it by using
the AWE32 drivers with their SB16 board. Are these drivers, or preferably
update SB16 drivers available on the net?

[Description of sound trouble with SB16 cards deleted]
I've got an SB16 SCSI at work, and haven't had any trouble getting the
sound to work.

One thing to realize is that we use MIDI sound for the "win" theme and
in the credits.
Skid Row, Ned Jarrett, and all game sound effects are digital sound. So, if
you get one (MIDI) and not the other (digital), you should look at that
part of your sound setup.

As for drivers, I'm just using the default SB16 drivers (whatever the SB16
automatically installed onto my machine)

Sound SHOULD work on your SB16; have a look at the above, and post again if
it still doesn't work.
