NFS3: Dashboard view.

I have just bought Need For Speed 3.  All the magazine reviews I read
prior to buying the game showed screen shots with a visible dashboard.
I don't get this with my in car camera view and have tried fiddling
with all the options menus, etc.  Is there a dashboard view, and if
so, what am I doing wrong?

You need to have a 3D card with at least 12 meg of memory. If you do you
should be able to see it at 800X600 res.

You need a voodoo 2 with 12MB to get the dashboards

Not only Voodoo 2. My Riva TNT does it.

I understand the Canopus Pure3D works, though.  It's got 6MB instead of
only 4 (2MB more texture memory).  But I don't have NFS (yet), so am I
wrong?

Any 8mb card will allow you to get the dash view.  In the graphics options
menu turn the wide screen option to off.

My Riva 128 with only 4 meg does just fine with it, too, but I believe
it is because I have an AGP version.

No, you aren't wrong.
Canopus Pure3D will give you 640x480 with dashboards in NFS3.

I can't get one either; PII 350 oc'd to 434, Stealth II 4MB (Rendition
V2200)
Is it just a videocard limitation?  I can get it on my other computer
