The movies I've seen on the web and on Extended Play have looked better than
what I saw at the auto show, so there is hope. Maybe they've made great
strides with the AI. But I will say this... I've never seen a japanese
racing game/sim that has any sort of intelligence to the computer controlled
cars. I just don't think they give a damn about AI.
When you are in the Golden Shout Super! stage, the AI would react very
realistically, sometimes throwing in a SUPER TURBO KICK TIME!!!!! when you were
right in the middle of a race. Now *that* was realism.
Don't you mean a PS2 AND an XBox?

Extended Play also claimed the polygon count for the cars is approx. 10 times
what it was in GT2. Weather enhancements and a very cool semi-transarent
"dashboard" also look promising.

GT2 was a psx game.
10 times the car polygons isn't that much.
