It GP3 can model wet weather to the extent that it can simulate standing
water/ individual puddles on the track, I would assume that if the game
engine can do that, it could also simulate oil or water leaking from a
broken down car (ie engine failure).

That'd be amazing if a blown engine actually left oil on the track :)
You'd really have to look out for the red and yellow striped flags :)

Add damage from debris to the mix & it'd be a real winner!

If you hit debris, you will suffer damage.

... or 72576000 frames at 24fps, assuming that the slo-mo bug is
fixed. <g>
