F1RS and GP1 / CH Pedals

Hi all,

Lost the thread earlier, but thanks again to those who helped with my
problem.

Was having difficulty with the GP1 / CH Pedals combo and F1RS, seeming very
on/off with the gas and brake.  Couldn't really get the feel of the sim and
didn't spend much time with it.

Had tried adjusting the sensitivity to 100% and it seemed  worse, so set it
back to the defaults and couldn't get used to it either.  Figured it was the
game.

But, after double-checking all the configurations in Windows that everyone
was using, and finding I'd done everything the same there, I put the
sensitivity at almost 100%, and dedicated myself to some serious practice
time and a softer touch than used with GP2 or N2.

With all the aids off, I've gotten pretty good with the brakes, lock 'em up
every so often but much more able to control them than before.  Same with
throttle.  Just takes a light touch and some practice.

So, while I was doing everything suggested already, the input from everyone
else made me realize it was ME, and I couldn't blame the hardware or game
for my poor driving :-)  So I "upgraded" myself and it works a lot better, a
damn blast to drive, while unforgiving of mistakes - very accurate I'd say.

So if you're having problems driving F1RS and the brake/throttle, double
check the hardware, but adjust yourself too.  More demanding than past sims
but very rewarding when done right.

Ken - go #43 and #44

F1RS and GP1 / CH Pedals

I have the CH Pedals and although they work great with all my other racing sims
they don't have enough travel for F1RS.  I borrowed a Thristmaster T2 and those
pedals have at least twice the travel and work much better with F1RS.  I'm
going to check theCH pedals  potentiometer ohm value against the T2 pedal's and
see if there is a difference.
