Are there any known issues with respect to using a PPPoE
connection--WinPoET--with VROC? I can't get the racelist (using
correct address yada yada). I was fine 4 days ago on dialup do I'm
pretty sure it is my switch to DSL that is the problem. I tried Quake3
and it works fine and my dl and ul speeds are awesome (yippee). But
i'd really like to take advantage of my fat pipe for some online
racing.

That's a personal issue.                    ^^^^^^^^

As far as I know (and that isn't far) WinPoET doesn't have a problem w/
racing.  Of course, that's provided everything is set up correctly.  I'm
using Verizon DSL.  Fortunately I'm not in NYC or any big city for that
matter, and get great speeds as well.  (Doesn't hurt that I'm less than
3000 ft from the CO.)

Thanks. I'm thinking of "upgrading" to ME to see if that shakes
something loose.

I haven't done this myself (don't race on VROC yet), but there is a setting
for the CORE.INI that you have to set for broadband connections - don't
remember the exact syntax, but it's something like:

alternate_ip_lookup=1

Do a search on Deja.com for the exact wording.
