Every time I start the game since I added the 1.06 patch, either all
the setups I've saved are gone from the options screen or it's back to
the default setups that come with the game.  Suggestions anyone?

Are you trying to use the "unofficial" setting to save race setups by track?

I had the exact same problem which had me beaten for some time.  I
eventually boiled it down to some long file name called somethig like
'canadahardtyresetup' which I downloaded from some site. I emptied the
folder and gradually added all the setups back in until I found the problem
file.
A weird one!

That's not it Ian,

It's very simple actually...think you guys have put the all player cars
equal option off...What the game does is make differnet directory's for
every car in the directory where your setups are....just explore the
directories and you will notice it

Ah...  I always use the Ferrari but sometimes I take Schumi's and
other times I use Rubinho's.  That also explains the code on the new
subdirectories it makes...

So checking "all player cars equal" will store all setups to a common
directory...

Thanks!

Sorry, Brian I'm not quite with you on this. Do you mean 'All Vehicles
Equal' or the unsupported 'Identical Player Vehicle Models'?  The first is
off for me and the second is on.
The game doesn't create different directories for every car.  All my setups
are in the SETTINGS folder and there is one subfolder called GO3G.
All I know is that when I emptied my settings folder and gradually put the
files back in, the game recognised them until I reached a particular one
which I removed, and now eveything is fine.
Can you explain what you mean a little more?
Thanks,
Iain
