Radeon 9700Pro & GPL

In GPL, when leaving a replay screen (to the area where you can check
your laptimes, and "Options" and "SetUp"etc appear at the bottom of the
screen), I often get garbled colors (I don't know how else to describe
it).   Knowing where the laptimes are shown, I can click on it and read
them, but the area which should be a tan background color just looks
totally screwy.  I can still click on the green or red buttons (but only
because I know where they are). In other words, although everything
still works fine, the background tan color is all screwed up.

This is with a Radeon 9700 Pro, Athlon XP1700 and Win98SE. Using the
latest Catalyst 3.1 video drivers.  Has anyone else with a Radeon (of
any flavor) experienced this?  This problem only appeared after
switching from a Radeon 8500LE to the 9700 Pro.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Bert

First install the latest Catalyst 3.1 drivers.  This solved the menu
corruption issue with mine (use D3D also, not Opengl).  Others are reporting
stuttering issues with replay playback, I haven't confirmed that here.

I've already installed the latest catalyst 3.1 drivers, which I downloaded from
ATI's website.  That was about 1 week ago.  Has ATI released updates to them in
the last week?

Thanks!

I'll answer my own question -- They have.  So, I guess that I'll try them.

Thanks, Roger!

And don't forget to check the Defenestration Whozzymajigger tab!

When yer ready to get serious, you might try Omega's latest ATI drivers
(based on the 3.1 Catalysts) here:
