Trying to get GPL working with Radeon 64. Reinstalled GPL installed 1.2
patch and d3d patch. I get a blue screen error and another error box that
states tapiserv.exe has problem with kernel32. I have tried this with the
drivers from CD and the newest beta drivers 7078 and am now on 7072 all the
drivers have given the same error. If someone has this working what Radeon
driver set are you using.

Nascar 4, GP3, Nascar Heat, DTR, DTR sprints all work on this system all
using DX8a.
Believe it or not I am running Nascar 4 on this system at 1600 x 1200 with
TnL Hal and it runs great.

Win98
Celeron 600
256M ram
cusl2-c MB
Radeon 64 Retail
DX8a

Any help would be appreciated. Missing GPL.

This isn't your situation but maybe it helps:

GPL is OK here in W2K with a 32DDR and 3100 driver. I did have major
trouble at first because I used the WDM drivers for my card (WDM is for the
AIW cards not the "regular" Radeons). My problem was the insistence of GPL
to use the 3dfx driver. I don't know why but I imagine with the D3D patch
if your proper D3D card driver isn't found it'll default to rast3dfx.dll.
This led to various *** crashes...

There's a little problem with the installer detecting my card so I have to
do a manual install. Anyway... couldn't get rid of the WDM drivers
completely so ended up booting to safe mode, uninstalling the Radeon in
Device Manager, clearing the registry of ATi keys and deleting all files
beginning with "ati" (be careful), rebooting and installing the correct
drivers.

tapiserv.exe is modem related if I recall correctly (Telephone API). What
else do you have running? It sounds as if something else is causing your
problem other than the Radeon. Try the three fingered salute (crlt-alt-del)
and close everything but explorer. No problems here with a Radeon 32ddr 7072
drivers.

Thanks all for the info I reinstalled DX8a and also deleted my modem (have
cable and had given modem to daughter) working great now. I think GPL was
trying to initialize my modem that was the tapisrv error.
