James Wolhever,(sp?) the author of the SP 3.0 has relented and agreed
to allow distrubution via other means than his website if several
conditions are met. Namely that no one profit in any way from burng
copies of the service pak. He does use an altered .exe and if anyone
tried to cash in on his work, it would violate EA's copyrights. And if
you don't know about EA's lawyers...

oh and for that reason, I'd be surprised if a for profit magazine
would be able to distribute the service pak.
