Am I missing something here?  I can't get the controls in the Option screen to recognize my Sidewinder joystick or ECCI wheel.  Clicking on the pre-assigned control which brings up the "do this or do that" box doesn't work.  I input a preferred control action and click "ok" and nothing changes.  Has anyone tried this with a wheel? or is everyone using the keyboard?  Any help would be appreciated.

I just downloaded and installed it.  I'm using an TM NASCAR Pro wheel not an ECCI though.  I had the pedals setup as SEPARATE because of GPL but that wouldn't work in Viper.  I have to change them to combined, reboot, recalibrate in Win98 and then they worked in the program.  I was able to customize the other controls also.

Is anything in the Viper directory set as Read Only right now.  If you can't even select the keyboard commands you want that could be an issue... don't know.

I use a T2 with split pedal axes in Viper. works fine. I clicked
on that Wheel thingy down on the bottom right to start with, then
clicked on the accelerator and brake controls to the left and when
asked moved the appropriate pedal, assigned buttons, and it all
seemed to work fine. I think it uses DirectX for joystick input, so
you'll have to make sure your wheel is configured correctly in Win95.
