store, and I allready got them today. A big thank you the the guy who
told me about this store (www.comcol.nl).
I unpacked them and my first thought was 'what an ugly pedals, the
logitech pedals look much more impressive'. But then I tried them and
immediately knew that they were much better than the logitech pedals.
Installing the pedals was no real big problem, since I allready read
in this newsgroup about how to setup these pedals with a Logitech FF
wheel. The trick was to connect and old joystick to the set of pedals,
otherwise the pedals don't work.
A second problem was that the manual said to choose 'custom' in
joystick properties and to select 3 axes. It had to be 4 axes.
Calibrating in GPL went perfect.
My first round on Monza: I was really impressed. My braking was so
much better than with the logitec pedals, it was really great. I had
to drive about ten laps to get used to the new pedals, and I still am
a little slower than my normal times, but I'm sure that after an
evening of practice I'll be able to break all my old records.
I can brake so much more precise than with the logitec pedals, it's
wonderfull. As soon as I hear the tires squeeling I easy off just a
little bit without a problem. With my Logitec pedals, it's allmost
impossible to easy off 'just a little bit', these pedals simply have
not enough pedaltravel to do this.
I chose the Pro version because of it's larger base than the normal CH
pedals. You can also use the pro version in flight simulators as
rudders, you can slide the left pedal forward and then the right pedal
will automatically move backward. I think this will work great in
flightsims, but I've got to figure out now how to connect my Gravis
Firebird Pro 2 to the ch pedals, if this is even possible.
Conclusion: Buy them, you won't regret it.
