Can't load setups in F1RS

Can't load setups in F1RS

Overall I am very impressed with F1RS (UbiSoft) except that I am unable to
load setups.
The load button on the bottom of the menu screen does nothing on my setup,
and renders all load functions useless.

If this one major flaw is fixed, I will be very happy with this program.

I have had no trouble loading set-ups if I wait till last screen. The one
that has the GO button then hit load and set-up should be available. Hope
this helps . Aloha,Mike

Are you running on a Voodoo Rush card?  If so, that is probably your
problem.  I found that the cursor wouldn't go far enough down the screen
to reach the Load button when running F1RS in Glide mode on a Rush card.
Worked fine on a full Voodoo Graphics card.

Set Win95 screen size to 800X600.

Weird, but that's the solution.

"On 5 August 1944 in the vicinity of St. Sever Calvados, France, witnessed a
German Mark V Panther tank knock out three M4 and three M5 tanks during and
after being hit by at least fif*** rounds of 75mm APC from a distance of
approximately 700 yards. All of these shells had ricochetted, with the
exception of a six***th round which finally put the Mark V Panther out of
action." Sgt. Thomas P. Welborn, Germany's Panther tank, the quest for

Well I hope they have this on the list of things to fix. Cause I dont
run my desktop in 800x600 for a variety of reasons. And this not being
able to load setups and races is EXTREMLY annoying. I just quit a
second ago because I couldnt reload my race weekend. What...!!!

Huh. I was able to load my chassis setups just fine. Maybe it is because
I have a Monster3D?

Note also that you cannot run your display in anything higher than
16-bit, high colour.
24-bit will not work.

I run Win95 under 1024 x 768 resolution (large fonts) and have no
problems whatsoever with the screen accessibility for F1RS.  (Using a
standard Cardex 3Dfx card, current drivers for Windows 95).
This dastardly effect *may* be an unwanted attribute of (a) the card or
(b) the monitor.

I've got a voodoo rush card too, and I've got the exact same problem.
The flag cursor won't go down far enough to select "load" !
Anyone know a way around this most annoying bug?? -besides getting a
new card ;-))

Ah but we have guilt by association here... Everyone plays well at my
resolution of 640x480 until I load up F1RS then only it doesnt play
well. I would bet that the team didnt think that anyone ran their
desktop resolution at 640x480 and so didnt test it....*** ***.
Definitely F1RS is broken here...needs a small patch to correct.

Say what..hehe Cisko you're a funny guy. But its more likely that you
are running your desktop at a higher resolution. Maybe 800x600...works
perfectly then...

We are both using refence drivers so shouldnt be any
differences...unless the fact that the memory in my Flash Voodoo is
better than yours (40ns vs 55ns) affects F1 RS adversly.<VBG>

I run at 1024x760x16bit. I am curiuous why you need to run 640x480
though. Hey do you think your faster memory will make for better lap
times?

:-)

   Tried it in D3D mode?

Sorry, but this is just not true (at least with the 1.05 patch installed). I
run by desktop in 1024 x 768 in 32 bit colour and have no trouble loading
previously saved settings, etc.

Regards
