After half a dozen attempts it finally read and installed.
Played the track twice - it's AWESOME !
BUT, now the CD won't reliably read.
Is there anywhere I can d/l a no-CD image ?
I want to race now :-(
eBay has a couple at only a few pounds, but I need to wait for those.
Anyone can help ??

The v1.2.0.1 patch (or somesuch, the latest one) from www.papy.com disables
the CD check.

The CPU patch contains a no-CD fix and the disco fix. You need to apply the
1.2 patch before applying the CPU patch.
It's not unusual for a gpl CD to be picky about the CD drive you put it in.
Mine won't read from my DVD, but it reads fine in the CD-RW drive. Try a
different drive.
