ICR2 for Win95 calibration problem

by Luc Boivi » Sun, 04 Aug 1996 04:00:00

Yesterday I purchased the ICR2 for Win95. I spent a good six hours trying
to calibrate my Formula T1 from Thrustmaster. I have a ACM game card wich
I installed and configured as per Thrustmaster's instructions obtained
from their web site. I manage to get my other controlers to work within
win95 such as my Gravis Gamepad and my Thrustmaster Pro Flight stick.
But as soon as I plug in my T1, i always get the message" your joystick
is not connected correctly". I have tryed everything and I cant get it to
work. This is very frustrating cause I cant use my new sim within windows
95 and thats especialy wy I bought it. I dont have any other
enabled gameport on my computer (the one on my sound card is disabled). I
have tryed the same configurations with my sound card and i get the same
results. In DOS my T1 works just fine.

If anyone has the same problem and has found a solution please E-Mail

My computer is a pentium 90 with 24 megs of Ram.

You need to use the adapter plug that came with the T1 so that the
wheels and pedals are both on Joystick1.  Without it, the wheel will not
be able to calibrate correctly due to the missing axis from joystick1.
I have noticed no performance difference when using the adapter, other
than Win95's calibration working correctly.

If you don't have the adapter (or lost it like I did) just e-mail
Thrustmaster and they will send you a replacement.  I got mine within a
week.
