Those who have loaded Brands wonderful Hatch, what times are you
getting? I loaded it last night, and this morning got a 1:38.92 in the
Brabham, using Allison's Silverstone settings, and a lot of low
1:40xx's in the Ferrari, using both her Glen and Silverstone settings,
including a 1:40.01. Wondering how others are doing. It's a beautiful
and fun course. Sam

1:40?! HA HA HA! i'm WAY over that. i've done a 1:44.15! four seconds over
yours. you are not even close to me. i run circles around you, man.
zip-a-dee-doo! why, look at yourself. you ought to be ashamed. four seconds.
tsk tsk tsk. i imagine that i will soon be even TEN seconds over you very
soon. woooo-hoooo! if i was ten seconds over you, i would not even be in the
same stretch as you. it would take me a full ten seconds...longer (...?!) to
turn a lap. longer? but wouldn't that make you (...cary the one...devide by
the enumerator...add the subtract...)...faster? damn. never mind.

My best so far (using Alison's new Ferrari setup, unmodified) is a 1:40.50.

LOL, very nice Jay, sure wish it worked that way. I can ADD time to my laps like
crazy, no problem at all doing that.

I've just clocked up a 1:38.84 in the Ferrari in a LAN race. (yep, a race
lap!)

Setup I'm using is simply Alison Hine's 'Ali_fer_sil_push' with the rear
anti-roll bar knocked down 2 notches to make the back more controllable. The
lap was really untidy, so I reckon I should be able to get at least a 1:37
with practice.

Also, one of my house-mates got a 1:38.80 in the Lotus in training.

Tried the Cooper, using Allison's Coventry setups for the Ring with
little tweaking in the gears and suspension I was doing 1:41s in the
race. Still needs work though.

I did a 1:37.7 in an online race, trying to catch Bill Worthington (I
eventually span out a few laps later, just as I got right behind him!).

That was with Alison Hine's Zandvoort Ferrari - I figured it was the
track most similar to Brands Hatch in terms of difficulty.

Am I the only person to believe that Mosport is the GPL track that is
most similar to Brands Hatch?

Get in an F3 car.  I couldn't complete a lap either but I learned the track
in a F3 then moved up to F1.  Also in the F3, try following some AI around.
It will give you an idea of where to brake.  I thought I was doing good with
1:37's (Ferrari F1 car) but then I went to race the AI and they were down in
the 1:35's and 36's! Oh well, off to drone around hopelessly looking for a
fast time.

I use Mosport setups for Brands, just did a 1;37.31 in a race with Coventry,
only half a second of my PB with a Lotus, using Alisons Mosport setting
slightly modified :)
