Well, Aj's Nascar Garage (AFAIK) created a Decklid patch for Nascar2,
and they had pic's of cars with Decklid (real).  But they received a
letter from Papyrus saying that it was illegal to do such a thing,
because it was intefering with they future plans. hmmmmmm. Lokk like
Papyrus is working on a patch, with decklid. But for Nascar2, Nascar3
??? Well, I would vote for the second one.  So you will have to wait 1
year and pay probably 40$ for your decklid.

Fran?ois,

Please excuse me for a moment while I throw up...

I was skeptical about a deck-lid patch before (I guess anything's
possible<g>), but if you expect me to believe that with all the
utilities out now for N2 (not to mention future projects from The
Pits and TSP), that AJ's would be forced to hold back?  What a
crock of shit!!

I now whole-heartedly believe that the patch may have been
attempted, but that it was finished is a HOAX...Altering a 3do-
file is a complex process, and adding texture to a polygon
(where there was none before) is damn-near impossible.

To simplify the process, first the 3do would need to be reversed
to something like 3ds (3D-Studio), have texture applied, and then
converted back to 3do...I've looked into the file that contains the
image within the *CAR file, and there ain't-no room for a deck-lid
image...Of course, they could learn to create a new MI4 image
that the game would recognise, but this too would be near as hard
as the 3do to 3ds...How would they allow you to paint what you
wanted on the lid?

You (and a few others) took the bait hook, line, and sinker.
