SCGT and Wheel

Does anyone know how to get SCGT to select my wheel?  It only wants to
run with my joystick.  I have the wheel setup as device number 1, but
SCGT won't seem to use it.

I have a Thrustmaster FF wheel and a Logitech FF joystick, both USB.

Does the wheel work in control panel?  Make sure that you have "Enable
Controller" selected on the top left hand corner of the controller options
screen.  If you need further help, you can e-mail if oyu want at

I would suggest you remove the joystick in the control panel window. Then
the steering wheel will be the only device the game will see. Then just add
the joystick back later when you need it. Sadly, games still don't work too
well when there are more than 1 controller being used.

Unfortunately, Windows handling of multiple game devices is, shall we
say, lacking...

You will most likely have to kill off the joystick entry in the control
panel and set the wheel to device 1.

Just having the joystick entry present will probably prevent the wheel
from working in many games.

You could try 'Quick Joy' off the CH Products website (can't think exactly
where right off - most likely in downloads).  That will let you switch from
device to device - to a point.  In my case my MS SW USB stick will not co-exist
with either my Logitech FF stick or wheel.  And none of them will let my TSW be
seen by the system - so, in all cases I just have to unplug some sticks to
allow others to work.
