NR1999 3dfx help

by Brian Post » Thu, 01 Apr 1999 04:00:00

I have a gateway P5-200 with a Matrox MGA Millennium 2d card with a
Creative Labs 3d Blaster (12Mb).  When playing NR1999, the graphics
are fine at first, but as you play they change to "block" like
graphics.  For instance instead of smoke billowing out from the tires
when you do a burnout, I get some black squares being thrown from the
tire. As you continue to play things progressively get worse, scenery,
cars, grandstands all get a weird black block-like pattern.  The only
way to clear it is to hit escape and then return to the race.

I have check to make sure I have the latest glide drivers, and
searched dejanews, but I don't know what else to do.  Any suggestions?

That is supposed to say that I checked to make sure I have the latest
Glide drivers, and searched this newsgroup on dejanews for all 3dfx
messages.  Any suggestions?

Thanks
