Nascar Crashing

Recently, I've encountered a ner problem with Nascar Racing.  I can get
as far as getting the car on the track during a race and just before
the first turn, the game crashes giving a DOS/4GW error page fault
occuring.  The screen is half full with code before coming to a
nascar\rol prompt.  I have win311 and this occurs even when my boot
disk is used.  If anyone has any idea what is wrong, please respond by
e-mail.

Thanks,
Jeremy Miller

You mention that you have Windows 3.11.  I assume since you mentioned
that that you are running (or attempting to run) NASCAR in Windows
3.1.  It simply can't be done.  NASCAR requires too much free memory.
Use a boot disk that loads only the bare-essential drivers and run
NASCAR in DOS.  You don't even need to load a memory manager
(HIMEM.SYS included).  I've found that performance without any memory
manager loaded is better than with one loaded.
