You can make it easier to beat the ai by handicapping them.
For maximum points (assuming you win a race) run 3-lap pro races. It took me
about 4 hours to get the LX6.

The "fixed setup for all drivers" is something i miss in LFS. Looking
at the setups out there, some of which with truely weird
settings(guess the same goes for N2003), yet even the weird setups
which would never be used in real life because they would result in an
awefull car or rotten laptimes result in fast laptimes in the sims.
Physics modelling assside, with the 'no setup' situation with some
cars in netkar at least everyone drives the same thing, be it flawed
or not, and it does result in winners being very proud and loosers
excepting they need to practise more instead of going on the web again
in search of a better setup. An added bonus is that there's none of
the endless 'what are your camber settings...how much grill
tape...where can i get your setup' etc..etc questions in online
games:)
Maybe in the netkar future one of the race versions of the 360 will
get in there with all the setup options for the setup maniacs:)
The LX4 and LX6 are a lot of fun in LFS - I really didnt like the demo - the
cars are rubbish - but the 12 was well spent imho

The AI will race with the rubbish setup and thus are easilty beaten.
The short fern bay rally-x track at 5 laps is probably the quickest way to
earn

So for us the better physics model of N2003 counts for nothing.
Now an Aussie V8 weighs much the same as a Nascar but looks like it handles
more like a touring car. So how come a Nascar cannot be set up to handle
half decently on a road track - is it the limitations of the regs which
basically mean you are driving a car designed for high speed corners only?

Maybe they got it too right ;)
<snip>
You mean it can't?
That's strange, i mean most guys are faster in WC cars than in the 67 cars
on the same tracks.
Of course the ***'s a lot better, but the handling ain't shabby either.
:)
Yeah it does that in a couple of the high speed corners and spits you off if
you're not carefull
I can't find a ride height setting, but if you take some wing off it doesn't
push you into the ground so much. It's either that or you have to lift
slightly at a couple of points
