After the good folks at GPLEA take a well deserved vacation (have one on me
boys!), I wonder what they have planned next? Goodwood or Donington maybe?

Oulton park would be a superb GPL circuit with it's elevation changes, and historically in keeping too.  Of course Donington was unused in the 60's.  Oulton would complete a nice quartet of British circuits!

I would love to see Goodwood, but what we really need is the rest of the 67
non-championship tracks, which are: Oulton Park, Syracuse and Jarama.

i would like a really simple track for online races, something like monza but
not to fast that it gets boring like the ovals. 6-7 km long with a few slow and
some fast corners and 2x 313-314 kmh eagle topspeeds that would be really nice

Or Reims!!! 8kms, 3 long straights, 2 hairpins ans a fast right hander.
And historically correct (hosted French GP in 1966)!

But I've said it before and I say it again: there's only one more track
we absolutely need for GPL: Clermont-Ferrand !!!!!

Oulton Park would be great, a better circuit anyway than Snett, and they did
run F1 cars there in the Gold Cup race from time to time.

I'd love to see Oulton - having been there many times.  How similar
was it in the 60s to the modern circuit though?  My only worry is that
Oulton would be undrivably difficult in GPL.  It's too narrow and twisty
in Touring cars.  Christ, that circuit would feel narrow on a pushbike.
The chances of getting round Oulton in a Lotus 49 in GPL would surely
be minimal?

You're all on the wrong track, the only track needed is Bathurst.
Perfect for GPL, with two long straights followed by slow corners, the
most amazing twisting uphill sections, the dipper coming down the
mountain, then Conrod straight for the fastest speeds possible. Easy
for over 200 mph in the Lotus coming down the mountain. A hands down
winner.
