Obiously what you need to do is copy the carsets you want to work with
onto your hard drive. Make a directory off of the NASCAR/CARS
directory for each carset and copy them over. Whatever the name of
the carset's DAT file is, the directory name should be the same. For
example, the carset which includes the file CARS96.DAT would be placed
in the NASCAR/CARS/CARS96 directory.

Whenever I load the car sets from the cd-rom, I cannot use paintkit to

read-only files and cannot be changed. Anybody know how to change

Check the Attrib's...since they are on a CD..they often are set +r+a, since you
can't(generally) write over a CD file. either in DOS or with a file manager, change
the attrib to -r-a. It's often called RASH, R-Read only A-archived S-system
H-hidden.
