MGPRS2 Force Feedback ?

by ereyn.. » Tue, 14 Dec 1999 04:00:00

I seem to remember that MGPRS2's Force Feedback let you feel when the
car was beginning to lose grip or understeer by reducing the force
resistence during the turn...

Is this true?  Can you feel the loss of grip?

Lately, all I have been getting is constant force resistence during a
turn?

I'm pretty sure I have FF configured right in MGPRS2...  not too many
ways to***it up, actually.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ed

Make sure you have the most current patch installed.

Are you sure this was about MGPRS2? Aren't you mixing up the FF specs of GPL
with this sim? I have both and must say that the FF in MGPRS2 is a bit pale
compared to the implementation in GPL. In the latter you really do feel loss
of grip and weight transfer when cornering in an awesome way.

MGPRS2 Force Feedback ?

Yes, I did mean MGPRS2.  I also have GPL (with the FF patch) and it is
indeed truly awesome.

Its been a while since I've played MGPRS2 and I just thought I
remembered have a feel of the grip in that game too...  but perhaps not.

I checked the I-Force (.ifr) files with the I-Force Studio editor and I
didn't see any effect that could be called to reduce the spring tension
in the wheel.

For the other poster, thanks, but I do have the latest patch (1.06)
applied to MGPRS2.
