Need for Speed DOES NOT support Peddles....

Need for Speed does not support more than one joystick, so if you try to
use your wheel and peddles they will not work. It says it supports the
Thrustmaster Wheel on the box, which it does, but it DOES NOT support the
peddles. Amazing.

I rigged up a cable which sends the X AXIS of joytsick 2 (peddles) to Y
AXIS of joystick 1. I should not have had to do that. But it does work
with my thrustmaster wheel.

I like the game, it is tremendous fun and you can make the graphics to
your liking but the fact that they don't support peddles is ridiculous.
They obviously put alot of hard work and thought into the game - I just
don't see how they could***up the joystick support. The joystick
control with the wheel is excellent however, just no peddle support.

Thrustmaster has an adapter for the T-1. The adapter plugs
into your game port and the T-1 plugs into it.
I believed it cost around $2.50 from thrustmaster.
It sat in my parts drawer until I bought NFS and I needed it
            it works fine.

My T1 came with a small adapter that allows the peddles to be the other
axis on joystick 1 and that worked just fine with the 3+ MB demo.

Mine came with the adapter too, and works fine with the released version as
well.  I'm not sure I'll be keeping NFS tho...I dunno nice graphics and all,
but it lacks a lot of "depth" (IMHO)  Just too "arcadish".

The Thrustmaster T1 does work with NFS if you use the adapter plug that comes
with the T1.  NFS only accepts one joystick input so the adapter maps the
second joysick input to the first joystick axis (or something like that).
Anyway it worked for me on the NFS demo so I assume the boxed version would
act the same.

As I said in my previous post I made one of those - unfortunatly my
Thrustmaster combo was an early model that did not come with that adaptor.
I did not know it existed. Typical Thrustmaster to include that adaptor -
great company.

I have an early T1, too. And I just called the company and they said
they'll send me the adaptor for no charge. With a service like that
they'll keep their customers for life. :)

They surprise you with their cooperation and customer service.
As of now, they're the only one I'll deal with.
