Here's an idea for the next version of NASCAR Racing.  I think this first
one has been mentioned before, but the restarts need to be double file
with lapped cars on the inside just like in NASCAR.  Also, the rule in
NASCAR about speeding on pit row is that the driver can take a green flag
stop-and-go or go to the end of the longest line under caution.  In other
words, if we are caught speeding, then give us this choice.  Most of the
time, drivers go to the end of the longest line if they are under caution,
instead of losing a lap under green.

Also there's one other thing.  The pace laps are not realistic in that
swerving back and forth does not heat the tires up.  Even if you don't
swerve, the temps should still rise by just driving 70 mph on the pace
lap.

I would rather see a spotter. Someone to tell you when there is a big
crash, where it's at, and where to go on the track to avoid getting
caught in it!!!

Whoa... that would require a heck of an AI (maybe a neural net.. ;-)).  Don't
think you'll be seeing this anytime soon.

THIS idea, however, has real merit!  The sim already knows where the accident
is, and although the sim has eliminated the need for most spotter functions
(i.e. Irvan-style side mirrors, having your pit stall where you can easily see
it), a crash warning would be really nice, especially if it was ahead of you.
