GPL Patch rumour?

GPL Patch rumour?

I tried the patch also. The latency metering device was nice as well.

The connections I had while using  the 1.2 patch were very good, now I just
wish the official release happens soon.
I too made the change to nullify the time limit of the patch, but I have
returned to 1.1 only because there are more 1.1 servers than 1.2 servers so
far.

With the 1.2 patch, press alt-m during a race.
Read the readme file as well :)

GPL Patch rumour?

Since Sierra has been so unresponsive to it's GPL customers regarding
support of GPL and in the interest of cutting through the confusion, here
is my personal recollection of GPL versions. Anyone with corrections or
additions please reply.

1.0.0.0.0    The original gpl.exe from the retail CD-ROM.
1.1.0.0.3    The officially released 1.1 patch that added FF support and
some other stuff, and created the slomo/sync problems. Not compatible with
1.0.0.0.0.
1.1.0.1.2    The not officially released fix for the 1.1 slomo & sync
problem. Compatible with 1.1, not 1.0.
1.1.0.1.4    Same as above as far as I can tell.
1.2.0.0.0    The officially unreleased final fix for 1.1. Not compatible
with either 1.1 or 1.0. Thus none of the dedicated servers through VROC
are using it.

So the version to have for offline, or online racing on the internet
through VROC/GSB is 1.1.0.1.4 until Sierra is so kind as to release
1.2.0.0.0, OFFICIALLY...if ever.

One to complete most of the turns and one to give it the frustrating
spin right at the end.
