Monster 3D problem

I have got a Daimond Monster 3D card and when I try to use it my system
locks up. I have discovered the reson for this is because the card I thought
was only 2D is an ATI 3D Rage, which isn't a 3dfx card. Does anyone know how
I can get my Monster 3D to work with this card. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

I have the same setup, and it works fine.  Monster handles the Glide/3Dfx
stuff, and ATI handles D3D. You can disable D3D support for the monster
through the control panel->Display->Monster 3D->Advanced.

I am having trouble running 3dfx software. It locks up my 3d card, my sytem
is still fine but I can't do anything because the monster is locked up.

I also have a Monster 3D II in my Aptiva P200 with the ATI 3D Rage video.  The
only problems I had was when I tried running some of the bundled software that
was written for the ATI card.  Are you having running everything or just some
software?

Why would you want to use the ATI for D3D? Esp. for D3D you'd want to
use
the fastest card you have... what a waste of money otherwise! ;^)
