Problem with Monster 3D and F1RS

by Rick Hunt » Wed, 29 Apr 1998 04:00:00

Hi there all,

I just installed a Diamond Monster 3D card, and played around with Ubisoft F1RS,
Toca touring cars and the 3dfx version of I'76. The first two day everything was
fine... however today F1RS wouldn't load. I got the inital menu (install,
uninst, play, exit), from which I choose play and then the monitor goes black
and nothing happens. It doesn't crash cause Cntrl-Alt-Del lets me close the
program (sometimes it's 'not responding'). Then tried Toca and I'76, same deal.
Whenever the 3D has to take over - nothing.

Then tried the Display>Properties>Monster 3D settings and saw whether the test
for the different resolutions would work, but again the damn thing didn't do
anything.

Any ideas as to what is going on? As I said everything worked fine for a couple
of days, but now this..... ;-(

My setup is Pentium Pro 200 , 64 MB EDO Ram, STB Velocity with S3 chipset,
Ensoniq Soundscape soundcard, running the OSR2 of Win95

Tia for any help or advice

Rick, you might need to reinstall the indeo drivers off the F1RS CD.. its in the
indeo folder.

Hope this helps.
