I just got Burnout, and tried using the 1.1 patch, now when ever
I try to load the game in dos it either hangs trying to load the
intro movies or reboots my computer. Anybody else having similar
problems? and if so how do I fix it?

you can bypass the movies by using the command line burnout.exe -q
-s allows screen shopts, use (insert key)
-f shows frame rates
-q disables the intro movies
