Microsoft FF Wheel problem

by alek » Sun, 07 Jan 2001 07:22:00

Hi, I got a problem with my Microsoft Force Feedback Wheel (USB)

The driver is installed without problems.
The Force button is green.
I get no force feedback when playing games but the wheel works otherwise.
When I go into Settings->Control Panel->Game Controllers it show my
Sidewinder Force Feedback wheel and Status is OK. In the Properties, when
clicking on the Force tab, I get the following error:

An unknown problem occured while trying to initialize force feedback.

What should I do? It's the same result with both DX7 and DX8. I have the
SideWinder 4.0 drivers.
Thanks

Windows 2000, FIC VA-503+ motherboard. It uses the VIA MVP3 chipset, the
latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers, and the USB Filter driver.
