The gamecard will give you smoother gameplay than running through your
standard joystick port. However, it can be a bit of a pain to disable your
joystick port on your awe64, and get your acm card to be recognized by
win95 each time you boot up. You may want to try downloading the propanel
utility from Thrustmaster's website, install it, and try running it through
you soundcard port. Should give you smooth gameplay, without the need for
the gamecard. If you want to go ahead with the gamecard, you will need to
disable your joystick port on your awe64 in win95's device manager. Check
out Thrustmaster's website also for help on doing this. It's fairly simple
to do if your using the standard win95 upgrade, if your using oem service
release2, it's a little trickier. If you decide to go with the gamecard and
have any problems, e-mail me and I will be glad to help.

If you the gameport on your AWE64 "sucks", then you need the ACM card.
It is an excellent gamecard.

Remove the AWE64 and install the ACM card.  This will let Windows95 setup the
gamecard with the defaults it wants.  Then reinsert the AWE64 and let it
configure itself.  You will get a conflict on the Creative Labs Game Port (will
be a red x or yellow exclaimation mark on device listing).  Go to that item and
choose properties and DISABLE that device by putting a check in the DISABLE box.
It won't bother you ever again.

You MUST have the ACM card in and setup first - Win95 is a first come - first
serve OS when it comes to PNP and legacy cards coexisting in the same machine.
