Does anyone out there know wheter a dual pentium pro will speed up GP2? (or games in general) or are
they limited to server use.

No, it won't! Unless GP2 supports SMP, which I doubt very much, judging
from its crappy video and serial code ...

A dual PPro machine only makes sense if you have an operating system that
supports dual processors. Windows NT is one such OS, but gp2 and most
other games won't run under it. From what i've read, a dual processor machine
will run SLOWER than a single-processor model of the same CPU under DOS. If you
want the fastest game machine around, get a Pentium 200 and a good video card.

Pro hates 16 bit programming, not dos programming. GP2 is 32 bit.

Does GP2 work under an operating system that uses both processors? If it was
written for DOS or Win95, then no it will not help. If it was written for
OS/2, maybe. If it was written for Win NT, maybe depending on which version.

So, no it will not help.
