Has anyone else had a problem getting their sound card to work on Nascar
Racing by Papyrus?  I finally got my game working but I can't get sound.
I've got a 16 bit sound card.  Also how come even after I set the graphics
for car detail it only has my car and one other one in detail all others are
just the color of the person's car, no decals or sponsors.  What gives?

Mine is the same way...I got a SB 16 Stereo...just put it in SB 8
Mono...if you just want to hear...also, there are graphics choices in the
options menu...maybe your car detail is off.

Try setting the sound card for SB 8 bit(if your Sb compatiable). As
far as the graphics go, sounds like you are running on a 4mb 486
machine. You'll need more meg for more graphics.
I got the diskette version not realizing that it did not
contain the SVGA graphics. I don't have a CD-ROM right now but
am planing to buy one in the future. I think it sucks that the
folks at Papyrus did not included the SVGA with the diskettes, but
for a *mere?* $15 *plus* the return of the original diskettes, they
will make the upgrade to CD-ROM.

Does anyone know a good set up combination for Darington?  The game defaults
don't work to well, I can't steer worth a damn.  The defaults worked for
Atlanta but not Darlington.  Also thanks for the 8 bit mono advise to get
sound.  If I don't choose a midi item does that matter?  I have midi but not
sure what to choose or if it will take up too much memory.  Thanks.

Darlington is a "roofless" track. I used the ace setup...but then you
won't pick up enough speed on the straights to raise your lap
average...so crank the 4th Gear to 420. That will let you accelerate
quicker out of the turns and gain more speed by the end of the straight.
But you still have to deal with that *** turn. When you see the turn
with tire marks leading directly into the wall...that's a sign to slow
down or you will be adding your autograph to that wall. Stay at about
120-135 mph in that turn. The other one is handled easily at 140-150. If
you can go faster than that...great! As far as the MIDI there is a choice
that lets you choose general MIDI...or something like that. Try that. I
also think that your MIDI is in Windows...see if you have one of those
listed.
