Why doesn't this excellent game get more postings in here? I just finished
that 28 minute section and I'm literally shaking!

Good question.  Maybe it doesn't get more postings because people are
actually playing it and don't want to take time away from it to post.
Are you playing with the Act Labs wheel and shifter?  That combo
pushes it dangerously close to a controlled substance.  <g>

Remove "hi" from address or it will bounce....

David G Fisher has an extremely sophisticated sociological analysis of this
phenomenon which proves that the sims which get fewer postings here are
actually the ones that are the best.  Ask him about it sometime; it's number
02 of his three available messages.

So feel lucky . . .

Good Game?  After playing the hunk a shit for 5 seconds, i literally went
out side, took out my tourch flame and burnt the cd to hell, waste of money
I tell ya.  NO AI? C'mon, what shit is this, it can barely work itself with
a digital controler, and then came the interface, shit, my old Grand Prix
Unlimited game from like 1990 was 10x better interface wise?  Why don't you
test drive yourself Rally Masters, atleast theres race able ai!

I say this partly in jest, but there is some truth to it...If a rally sim
requires AI, then it probably isn't a very good rally sim.  Hey, your're
racing a clock--how smart does a clock have to be?

While the "AI" in RC2000 is flawed at best (ever seen the same drivers clean
up each round in their respective classes in any rally series? -I haven't)
the object of rallying is just you against the clock. Whether the AI is
represented on track or not.

Would be kinda nice to run across a stranded vehicle once in a while tho'.

The nice software companies make arcade games for the likes of you Frank,
better make sure you read about a new title here before buying it... unless
the posts about it contain the words "steaming pile of arcade rubbish", you
will not enjoy the game.

Regards,

Jan.

Well......

I agree that RC2K is REALLY good

But the best of ALL is GPL, and it is definitely the one getting the most
posts....

Besides that rally master is fun but a biot boring, the tracks are too short
and you run them too often, more arcade than RC2K.

All the elements of a great sim are there, but it just doesn't feel
right to me. The car feels like it has no mass or something.
It's nearly intangible.

Before someone starts quacking "Have you ever driven a real rally car
to know how it feels?", I'll admit that I haven't.
All I have to compare is thousands of hours off-road in two and four
wheel drive trucks.

Get the patch and modify the gravity to 110%, it changes the game
COMPLETELY....

Did you change anything else, other than the gravity? I take the previous
poster's point about not *quite* feeling right, but it seems pretty damn
close to it to me, and certainly more realistic than the other main two
rally games.

Advice welcomed re settings, please...
