X-Miles Update for Europress Rally Champs???

by Stanley Cha » Tue, 03 Jun 1997 04:00:00

Hi,

Has anyone tried the above and would like to comment on it. I dug out my
old copy after downloading the patch (which allows me to use CH Pedals
with my GP1) and I seem to have renewed my interest in this game. The
`walls' really hurt the game, but I think it's pretty fun. Certainly the
best rally sim/game available now.

Are the tracks in X-Miles of greater variety. Any new stuff or bug
fixes?

It helps if you have a wheel and pedals, so you can apply a touch (or
a lot) of brakes without letting up on the gas (i.e., driving with two
feet). Then depending on speed, track texture, etc., you have some
real turning power to do some sliding (though in a fairly realistic
way, not too arcady).

I bought and used RC - but grew tired of it in a swish. How are the
X-miles? Are there any actual corners that you can`t fly through in 6th?
Any places you *really* have to brake? Any stages that the top speed
does not reach 150mph?

Interested,
Matt
