I am using win95 and belive I have all the drivers and path in the right
places.  I have been able to run other games and had sound working fine
with them but unable to make the sound work with n2.  Please help!!

After the initial installation of N2, you have to go to 'sound setup' and
let it autodetect your soundcard.

Did you try letting the game auto detect your card? Seems to me that
there used to be an icon for setting up the sound card in the Sierra
program group. If it's not there just go to your Nascar2 directory and
run the program setup.exe which launches that application.

This is my 2nd post about my soundblaster problem.  I realize that I am
unable to run the sounds setup command.  When I do it says unable to
run vga graphics and tells me to type n2.  I am able to play the games
just with no sounds.  Just wondering if anyones else has had this
problem before and how I might be able to fix it.  This is with nascar2
and when I do type n2 the screen goes blank and make music sounds.  Then
when I hit escape the games starts and I am able to play without sound.

Thanks,
Brake

First try running the game by by-passing the intro movie, just enter
NASCAR2 at the command prompt.  Is this in a pure DOS setting?  If so,
you do have your sound card drivers loaded?  What graphic card do you
have installed?

I'm a little baffled by your not being able to run the setup for the
soundcard.  Until you can do this, it's going to be real hard to get the
sound working in the sim.  That is unless someone sends you their
sound.cfg file that is set up for your card.  Maybe you could post the
settings for your soundcard (IRQ, DMA, I/O address) along with the model
of your Soundblaster and someone can create a sound.cfg file and send it
to you to try.

Brake, are you getting the sound setup screen, and it crashes when you
select something?  If so try manually selecting your sound card info and hit
EXIT.  Do NOT test.  I had a buddy's system that locked up every time we
tried the sound settings until we used this method.
